Today I’m reviewing the fifth và final mask from The toàn thân Shop’s new Superfood face mask range – their British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, which is designed to plump, sooth, và re-hydrate. Is this a wintertime skin must-have? Let’s find out!

The body Shop British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask is a gel-textured moisturizing mask designed for dry, thirsty skin that needs to be quenched và re-plumped with hydration. Formulated with rose essence, rosehip oil, and aloe vera, it supposedly helps replenish your skin with moisture, while also smoothing and softening the surface, và soothing và toning. With continued use, it’s said to reveal a more dewy và youthful glow.

After removing makeup & cleansing the skin, use a mask brush (or your fingers) khổng lồ smooth an even layer of the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask onto the face, avoiding the eye và lip areas. Apply to lớn neck & décolletage if desired.
The recommend time to leave the mask on is 5-10 minutes (however you can leave it on for longer if you prefer). Finally, rinse off with warm water. Recommended usage is 2 khổng lồ 3 times a week for best results.

Open the jar, và the very first thing you’ll notice is the mask’s fresh rose scent (think a natural rose soap with a touch of citrus notes). It’s starts out somewhat strong, allowing you khổng lồ enjoy the scent throughout the application process, then quickly fades after being applied.
The toàn thân Shop British Rose Mask’s texture is that of a thick, slightly sticky gel. It’s translucent with a rosy-brown tint, & even contains little bits of rose petals, all throughout. I personally prefer to use my fingers over a brush when it comes to lớn applying it. However, no matter which method you choose, the formula is incredibly easy to apply, and spreads out effortlessly.
As the mask sits on the skin, it slowly starts to absorb and sink in. What it eventually leaves behind is a thin, sticky layer that remains on the skin until you rinse it off. (Hence, it’s not one of those moisturizing masks that you can leave on all day/night, và use it in place of a moisturizer).

Although the directions say lớn keep it on for only 5-10 minutes, I much prefer lớn go longer – 60 minutes is my average ‘treatment’ time (and the sweet spot I’ve found for getting the best results!). Once it comes time to remove it, it only takes about 3-4 quick rinses of water before everything’s off. It’s definitely one of the easiest masks to remove from The toàn thân Shop’s Superfood mask range (all the others tend khổng lồ really stick to your skin, và require a washcloth lớn remove).
Once off, The body Shop British Rose Mask, first và foremost, leaves my skin feeling amazingly soft & smooth. It also provides light, soothing hydration for my bộ combo skin, which works as a nice pre-step lớn a day/night moisturizer. (However, lượt thích I mentioned above, that’s after leaving the mask on for 60 minutes. Anything less – especially 5-10 minute treatments – gives me sub-par results, with the least amount of softening & hydrating/plumping effects.)
Because of the soothing aloe vera và moisture-restoring rose petals/essence, I find The toàn thân Shop British Rose Mask works particularly well in two occasions: 1) as a follow-up after a more intensive chemical/grainy exfoliating mask or clarifying clay mask, và 2) as a refreshing, restorative treatment after a day out in the sun (especially when cooled in the fridge just prior!), as the rose helps to re-hydrate the skin & aloe vera calms redness.
Final Thoughts
Overall, if you’re looking for an ultra-soothing and softening mask to add to your spa night routine (or morning routine if you have time khổng lồ spare!), The body toàn thân Shop British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask is worth trying out. Just remember, if you don’t see effects right away, try longer treatments (which from my experience, seem to lớn be key!).
